PSG knocks out Barcelona in thrilling Champions League match
Mbappé scores twice as ten-man PSG comes from behind to win 4-1
Enrique returns to Barcelona to haunt former club
Luis Enrique returned to Barcelona on Wednesday night and knocked his former club out of the Champions League as his Paris Saint-Germain side came from two goals down on aggregate to win 4-1 at the Camp Nou.
Kylian Mbappé was the hero for PSG, scoring twice in the second half after Lionel Messi had given Barcelona the lead. Neymar and Ángel Di María also scored for the visitors, who will now face Manchester City in the semi-finals.
Barcelona were left to rue a missed penalty from Ousmane Dembélé in the first half, which would have given them a 3-0 lead on aggregate. They were also reduced to 10 men in the second half when Gerard Piqué was sent off for a second bookable offense.
The result was a bitter blow for Barcelona, who had been hoping to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2015. It was also a disappointing end to the season for Enrique, who had led Barcelona to the Copa del Rey title earlier this month.
For PSG, the victory was a major boost to their hopes of winning the Champions League for the first time. They will now face Manchester City in the semi-finals, with the first leg taking place at the Parc des Princes on April 26.
