SpaceX's Starship Set for Fourth Test Flight

Liftoff Scheduled for June 6, 2024

Targeting a Two-Hour Launch Window

SpaceX, the spaceflight company founded by Elon Musk, is preparing for the fourth test flight of its massive moon rocket, known as Starship. The highly anticipated launch is scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 8:51 am from SpaceX's Starbase test site in Boca Chica, Texas.

WEB Starship, the world's most powerful launch vehicle ever developed, is capable of carrying up to 150 metric tons of fully reusable payload and 250 metric tons of reusable payload. The two-stage super heavy-lift launch vehicle is under development by SpaceX and is currently the largest and most powerful rocket ever flown.

According to SpaceX, the fourth test flight will be a critical milestone in the development of Starship. The company has received a launch license from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and is targeting a two-hour launch window that opens at 8:51 am. The livestream of the launch will be available on SpaceX's website.

Even if the launch is successful, it will only set the stage for more test flights. SpaceX plans to conduct multiple test flights before the vehicle is ready for operational use, including flights to the Moon and Mars.

The upcoming launch of WEB Starship is a major milestone in the development of space exploration. The successful flight of the world's most powerful rocket will pave the way for future missions to the Moon and Mars, bringing humanity closer to its goal of becoming a multiplanetary species.
