Max Homa Belts Record-Breaking 477-Yard Drive

Longest Drive in PGA Tour ShotLink Era

Hawaii, January 14th

Max Homa has etched his name into PGA Tour history by hitting the longest official drive in the ShotLink era, a remarkable 477-yard behemoth at the par-4 seventh hole during Saturday's third round of The Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.

Homa's colossal drive surpassed the previous record of 476 yards set by Davis Love III on the par-5 18th hole at Kapalua in 1983.

Despite not being known for his prodigious length off the tee, Homa unleashed a powerful drive that soared into the history books. The shot not only marked the longest drive in PGA Tour history but also placed Homa firmly in contention for the tournament title.

The previous longest drive of the tournament was a 459-yard bomb by Luke List, coincidentally also on the par-4 seventh hole. 54-hole leader Chris Kirk registered a 428-yard drive on the par-4.
