Brad Treliving Named General Manager of Toronto Maple Leafs
Seasoned Executive Takes Helm of Iconic Franchise
Toronto, Ontario - March 8, 2023
Brad Treliving has been appointed as the new general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the team announced today. Treliving, an experienced NHL executive with a proven track record of success, will take over the reins of the iconic franchise immediately.
Treliving, who has been on the job for nearly four months now, has a wealth of experience in the hockey world. He previously served as the general manager of the Calgary Flames from 2014 to 2022, where he oversaw a period of sustained success for the team. Under his leadership, the Flames made the playoffs six times and reached the second round on three occasions.
The Maple Leafs, one of the most storied franchises in NHL history, have been searching for a new general manager since the departure of Kyle Dubas last season. Treliving's appointment is expected to bring stability and a fresh perspective to the organization as it looks to build a contender for the Stanley Cup.
