Perez and Magnussen in huge crash on first lap

There was a big crash between Sergio Perez and Kevin Magnussen on the very first lap of the Monaco Grand Prix, which took place on Sunday 26 May 2024. Perez was attempting to overtake Magnussen when the pair collided, with both cars ending up in the barriers.
It was a case of third time lucky for Charles Leclerc
The race was eventually won by Charles Leclerc, who secured his first victory in Monaco following two previous retirements in the race. The Ferrarri driver took the lead of the race on lap 12, after the safety car was deployed following the crash between Perez and Magnussen.
Leclerc was able to control the race from the front, and eventually took the chequered flag ahead of McLaren driver Oscar Piastri. It was a great result for Leclerc, who had been in fine form all weekend.
