In an emotional interview following his withdrawal from the Tour de France, Primoz Roglic revealed the enormous mental toll that elite cycling has taken on him. The Slovenian rider, considered one of the favorites for the yellow jersey, broke down in tears as he shared the personal struggles that led to his decision to abandon the race.

Roglic's withdrawal was a shock to the cycling community. He had been in contention for the overall victory, but on Stage 9, he suffered a heavy crash. Despite continuing the race, Roglic's injuries and the relentless pace proved too much.

Speaking to reporters, Roglic said, "I've been thinking about quitting for a while now." He explained that the constant pressure, the sacrifices, and the relentless pursuit of success had taken a toll on his mental well-being. "I said to myself that I didn't need to be part of this cycling world and suffer like this anymore," he said.
